Bairns Trust Meeting
20th February 2012 at Falkirk Stadium
1) Welcome/Opening Remarks & Apologies
Chairman T Paterson welcomed everyone. Apologies from B Anderson, M Dickins and B Guthrie.
2) Minutes of Previous Meeting/Matters Arising
Fans Charter still not returned to club website. BairnsTrust have vehemently challenged this and have requested it be returned to its prior state. Trust as fans body were not consulted on its removal. No reply from club yet to our questions on the matter. A Thomson will assist to have it reinstated.
Anti-Racism and Anti-Bigotry event held at stadium on Mon 16/01/12. BairnsTrust were well represented and were to be mentioned in regard to continuing support of this action. Member B Guthrie to obtain photos and submit an after-event article as well as for the Show Racism The Red Card day versus Queen of the South on Sat 15/10/11 per November Minutes. B Guthrie not present therefore agreed action points to be rolled over to next Meeting.
Trust's latest share application has been cashed but still no certificate received. S Monfries to raise at next Club Board Meeting.

3) Secretary’s Report
Various letter and e-mail correspondence received and circulated amongst Committee.
Falkirk FC AGM 2012. All 6 Resolutions put forward on Monday 06/02/12 duly voted in Favour by BairnsTrust proxy.
Supporter's Direct elections. 8 initial nominations, now down to 6. Debate then followed on the attempted breakaway by Scottish Council from Supporters Direct (UK.) Floor agreed Trust Committee to choose best 2 candidates on behalf of Trust. Deadline for voting is Wednesday 29/02/12.
Offensive Behaviour Act. Effective from Thursday 01/03/12. Countrywide seminars being held. Glasgow Monday 27/02/12, Dundee Tuesday 28/02/12 and Edinburgh Wednesday 29/02/12. Trust to send a representative and report back. Trust to place Act on website and messageboards. Club are fully backing.
Questions to be raised by representative include offensive chants and "smoke bombs."
BairnsTrust AGM timeline was repeated:
Saturday 31st December 2011 deadline for membership to be able to vote.
Monday 27th February 2012 AGM documentation to be posted out.
Friday 9th March 2012 nominations and 250 word election address.
Friday 9th March 2012 7.30pm deadline for postal votes or in person at the Falkirk Stadium Committee meeting on Monday 12th March 2012.
*Friday 16th March 2012 Selection Day if more than two nominations for Fans Rep Position.
Monday 19th March 2012 normal member's meeting along with Hustings Night, if needed.
Ballot Papers sent out along with any constitutional amendments.
Deadline 7.30pm Friday 13th April 2012 for postal votes or 7.00pm in person on Monday 16th April 2012.
Monday 16th April 2012 BairnsTrust AGM and Election results announced.
4) BairnsTrust Representative's Club Boardroom Report
Dialogue with FFC Chair re share register. New register is published at Companies House and is a vast improvement on previous years. A Thomson will ensure remains in good order. Trust has obtained a copy and is liaising firstly with Sharesavers to check they are happy with their holding shown. Trust has 2 certificates for circa 43 thousand Falkirk Football Club shares currently with former Treasurer and will be obtained in an effort to consolidate all BairnsTrust's holding into one batch.
Former Managing Director G Craig has settled dispute with club.
Club transfers in January window discussed by Board and debated at Trust meeting.
Club's "soft loans" have to be paid back.
5) Treasurer’s Report
Report covered spell of no home games in the period since last meeting.
Sharesavers continue and many will mature in next month. Application forms will be sent out and Sharesavers will be asked to check they are happy with their holding shown in the Club share register.
Small sums spent to acquire stocks of recent away programmes for resale.
Calendar invoice part settled. Debate then followed on why this was the case. Meeting with printer to be arranged.
Small postages re eBay sales.
Cheque for one early maturing Sharesaver cashed by Club. S Monfries to ascertain if certificate has been issued.
M White book sales now complete. BairnsTrust will hand over £50 cheque as final sales sum to M White. M White has agreed that 50% of sales due should be donated to Club Academy.
Other – Treasurer compiled January Meeting Minutes. BairnsTrust are now in position to buy more shares in Falkirk FC which are currently at 50p per share and hope to do so with next batch of BairnsTrust Sharesavers maturing. Trust was fully represented at Club AGM on Mon 06/02/12. Mention made of postponed Club Race Night.
* Potential to have opt in tick box on Club season ticket form to join BairnsTrust was debated.
* Potential to have second Trust Boardroom Representative to be part of new Club Management Group to learn skills was debated. Possibly invite Club Chair to next Trust meeting to flesh out Trust Club Management role.
* Request from Club to postpone Trust AGM debated and rejected.
* Fans survey launched on Club website discussed.
* Falkirk TV issues at recent game versus Hamilton was discussed.
* Pigeon mess raised again. Mention of Hamilton's prevention techniques, especially their secure netting system was highlighted.
* Trust Boardroom Experience outstanding auction prize discussed. Members stated is time barred.

7) Date of Next Meeting
Monday 16th April 2012 BairnsTrust AGM at 7.30pm in the Warm-Up Area of Falkirk Stadium.
Everyone is welcome and can participate in discussion, but only members are allowed to vote on any issue.
