The Trust take this opportunity to thank all for joining for the new season and appreciate all those that made a donation to the contingency fund, too many to mention individually, but very much appreciated. It has been assumed that all under 16s that have joined have done so with full parental/guardian consent.
You are cordially invited to attend the Monthly Meeting in the Warm Up Area of the Falkirk Community Stadium on Mon 19/05/08, KO 7.30pm.

The Trust was again seeking candidates for the Committee and nominations for the new Associate Director/Trust Rep on the FFC Board have closed. This post was open to any current member of the Trust, regardless of previous history or involvement in your Trust. Following the "Hustings" discussion on Mon 17/03/08 in the Warm-Up area of the Falkirk Stadium, the two candidates Brian Guthrie and Tom Paterson staked their claims and eagerly awaited the voting result. Ballot papers were sent out along with the full AGM documentation after Mon 24/03/08, with Ballot papers to be returned at the latest by Mon 21/04/08, 7pm to the Scrutineer in time for the result to be announced before the AGM commenced. Many thanks to the Scrutineer, our friends at the Falkirk Matchday Programme and the Falkirk Herald who have been able to find space in their publications to insert advertisement of our AGM and the two candidate’s electoral statements.
95 valid returned votes received.
Brian Guthrie will now be put forward to the Falkirk FC Board as duly elected Fans Rep, shadowing Murray McIntyre for one year before fully taking over as BairnsTrust Director. Commiserations to Tom Paterson. A good turn out at the Trust AGM was welcomed by the Chairman and after Trust business was discussed the floor was opened for an open forum from attendees. The Stadium and surrounding area was fully debated by the floor and concerns raised as to the ruling councils involvement.
The two Constitutional amendments were backed unanimously by a show of hands from attending members.
BairnsTrust still have a vacancy that requires to be filled on the Committee for the position of Secretary. Current Committee Members have had temporary spells covering the role alongside their own duties. If you wish to be co-opted to this office-bearer post, please feel free to make your intentions known by email to email@example.com The full Trust Committee has still to be formalised as the after-AGM meeting to determine was carried over to a later date this month.
The Trust now has the returned, signed, copy of the BairnsTrust "2007 Annual Accounts” with grateful thanks from our Independent Examiner. This new style of reporting on the Trust's finances was passed at our last AGM, similar to that adopted by a number of other Trusts and has been ratified by the Financial Services Authority. The position of Independent Examiner can be carried out by anyone with a financial background, not necessarily qualified and would simply be reviewing the set of financial statements already produced by the Trust Treasurer for the financial year ended 30/09/07. Copies of said Independent Examination were available on the night of the AGM to attendees and thereafter will be made available to any member who requests a copy by your preferred contact method below.
Your BairnsTrust Treasurer has been contacted by our colleagues at Shiretrust to now undertake their own Independent Exam for the year ended 31/12/07 and negotiations are at an advanced stage. Similarly, your Vice-Chairman has been approached by the Shiretrust to act as Scrutineer for their forthcoming elections, reciprocating the Shiretrust Committee Member who is covering our own election.

Falkirk FC has allowed BairnsTrust to become an Official Matchday Programme vendor using our stall on the concourse in the Main Stand at home games as the point of sale. We will cater for those who wish to buy INSIDE the Stadium pre-match and in return the Trust will receive the standard “seller’s fee” in return. This is proving a great success so far. We urge Members to purchase their copy from the stall to allow the Club to monitor how successful and necessary this point of sale is.
Will now be attempting to extend the sale of programmes into the Amarillo Bar Bistro on upcoming matchdays.
The Trust's own UEFA Champions League Fantasy Football Competition now into the semi-final stage. All change at the top with The Navy Blue now leading, but have Barhigdon and Calibairn within 10 points and in hot pursuit. The table will be posted on the message board after every round of games and will hopefully create more interest in our messageboard at the same time. As a result participants receive regular, emailed magazines direct from UEFA.

Feel free to visit the KillieTrust desk that day (just inside the hotel entrance) if you want to meet their Committee or to discuss anything.
