Dutch Pre-Season Tour 2008
Another excellent pre-season trip to Holland has come and gone.  A great time was had by all Falkirk fans that made the trip with the only down side being the football, as Falkirk only won one game and lost two.  BairnsTrust were approached by Falkirk TV to record the games and after editing this will soon be online. If you wish to view, register at ... FalkirkTV.  However, the Trust have also just received match footage from our new friends at SC Cambuur Leeuwarden TV.  If you wish a copy of this DVD, please reply to bairnstrust@hotmail.co.uk with your order in return for a donation to the Trust.

BairnsTrust members, who were on tour with the team, kindly provided the images for these slideshows for all to see and enjoy in the Fans Pix section of our website.  Thanks go to member I. Sneddon for allowing us to use the photographs.  If you have any you would like to share, please pass them on to us at bairnstrust@hotmail.co.uk and we will endeavour to publish them.

All memorabilia from the Dutch tour is currently on sale at the Trust matchday stall, but a lot was snapped up at the first available opportunity at the Rangers game so get in quick at the Inverness CT game on Sat 30/08/08.

BairnsTrust Shop Coming Soon...
After a successful meeting with the Falkirk FC marketing manager, BairnsTrust will now be selling an extended range of merchandise from September.  A section at the back of the Official Falkirk Shop in Kirk Wynd has been set aside for BairnsTrust to sell new lines of Falkirk FC related goodies.  Watch this space for further details next month.

In addition to this, BairnsTrust will also be selling Falkirk FC merchandise from the concourse stall on a matchday, with a percentage going to BairnsTrust funds.  Remember to take a look at the revamped BairnsTrust stall at the next home game.

You can also still browse the existing BairnsTrust merchandise online HERE

Advance orders are being taken now by BairnsTrust for programmes at the forthcoming International Challenge Match between Scotland v Northern Ireland at Hampden Park, Glasgow on Wed 20/08/08.  This will be a collectors item as Darren Barr features.  Please e-mail bairnstrust@hotmail.co.uk by Tue 19/08/08, 5pm if you wish a copy reserved.  The Trust may even get Darren to sign it for you!

Other News
The social committee are hard at work arranging social evenings for the new season.  As well as the annual quiz night in the near future, expect to see entertainment from Adam Quest coming to the Castings Social Club on Friday 24th October.  Further details will be available when dates/times/prices are confirmed.

BairnsTrust board member R. Stirling has been named the new Falkirk FC programme co-ordinator.  As you may have seen on the Falkirk FC site, the matchday programme has increased by ten pages to a bumper 64 pages for this season with only one extra page of advertising.  If you have never bought one before or have not done so in a while, now is the time to start again and judge for yourself if it is worthy of being the best programme in Scotland.

BairnsTrust is currently the principle programme seller inside the stadium on a matchday, available from the Trust stall on the concourse.  50/50 half time draw tickets are now also available from the BairnsTrust stall.  This will bring more fans to the Trust stall and will hopefully lead to increased revenue from Trust merchandise.

Our two board representatives will be hosting a meeting of supporters club bus conveners on Monday 18th August at 6.30pm prior to the full Trust monthly meeting.  Two reps from each bus are invited to attend, to discuss any issues they have and want to raise with the club.

Due to the continued success of the BairnsTrust website, our IT team were contacted to administer Falkirk-Mad.co.uk.  However due to constant improvisation to the Trust site, there is little time allowed for such an additional venture.

The BairnsTrust board have been invited by Supporters Direct to attend their regional meeting on Sunday 7th September at Easter Road Stadium, Edinburgh from 1.00pm – 4.00pm.  Eagerly looking forward to this.

Finally, if you have any topics or articles you wish to be included in future BairnsTrust Electronic Newsletters, please respond by your preferred contact method below.

Look forward to seeing you at the next monthly meeting where there will be a chance to win a prize for attendees!

Thanks,
BairnsTrust Committee
