Annual General Meeting 2011
This month's meeting on Monday 21st March 2011 will be the BairnsTrust AGM. All members who signed up in time to vote will have received their documents including the Agenda. A good turnout would be appreciated. The minutes from last year's AGM and the accounts will be available for your perusal on the website at www.bairnstrust.com over the weekend and at the Trust stall at the Dundee game. In order to save on costs, there will only be a small amount of paper copies available on the night, so if you can - please print your own copy.
The nominations to the committee and board representative position will be ratified, but there will still be places for people with relevant skills to be co-opted at the discretion of the newly formed committee. Anyone who would be interested is encouraged to attend the AGM and make themselves known.
In addition, the AGM is open to all, not just BairnsTrust members, but only members can vote
Irn Bru Tops!
League sponsors Irn Bru have launched a campaign to see which team can collect the most Irn Bru bottle tops before May 7th. You may have seen the orange buckets outside the stadium at the last home game, so now is the time to start collecting! The team with the most will win £10,000 towards youth football. Please get everyone you know involved and help Falkirk win. In addition, the special Irn Bru campaign bus will be making an appearance at the Dundee game tomorrow.

Family Marquee Success Continues
The family marquee is proving to be a popular addition to the family matchday experience. Situated outside the main stand, it is now open from 10am on match days providing a family-friendly place to get together with a multitude of games, entertainment, football coaching and refreshments on offer. BairnsTrust are now running the 'tuck shop' inside the marquee which supplies food and juice at reasonable prices. This is not just for family season ticket holders - all fans, young and old, are invited to come in on a match day
Volunteers are always needed to continue to make this a success. If you would like to help please get in touch or simply show up on the day and introduce yourself! Recently, BairnsTrust have been struggling to attract volunteers to help out on a matchday. Please do not ignore this e-mail, your help is needed to continue the good work. Sincere thanks to the matchday team who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty in aid of both BairnTrust and Falkirk FC!
A selection of merchandise is available in the marquee and at the match day stalls as usual. You can also still browse the existing BairnsTrust merchandise online HERE.
Falkirk FC AGM Notice
Taken from www.falkirkfc.co.uk .... "Important news regarding the club's AGM...The papers for the AGM being sent to all shareholders have gone missing. The club is in discussions with the courier to find out what has happened and when they will eventually be delivered. As a result, insufficient notice will have been given to shareholders for the AGM to take place on the planned date of Monday 28th March. Rather than further delay meeting shareholders, it is proposed that a Shareholders Meeting will take place on the 28th March with the same agenda and presentations as the AGM but excluding voting on the resolutions. This meeting will only be open to shareholders. The actual AGM will be scheduled for sometime in April and shareholders will receive a new calling notice and proxy form for this meeting. The AGM in April will only deal with the resolutions and there will be no presentations from management or the board. I would therefore encourage all shareholders to attend the meeting on the 28th March when they will receive reports from the board and management."
BairnsTrust will have representatvies at both meetings but would encourage shareholders who have any questions regarding the running of the Club to go to the meeting and ask their question direct to the FFC Board.
The latest boardroom experience draw has taken place for the remaining games of this season. The lucky members will be contacted in the following order until all games are filled: G. McKechnie, D. Leask, S. Johnston, D. Doctor, C. Allan, K. MacLeod, S. Jackson, K. MacKenzie, A. Leask, G. Donaldson.
The Brockville Spirit supporters group are holding a sportsmans dinner in aid of the Falkirk Academy on Saturday 28th May 2011, 7pm at the Inchyra Grange Hotel. Tickets are £50 per person. Speakers include Tam Cowan and John Rowbotham. Please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in attending or for more details.
A new website for this season has been launched giving post match interviews and reports from all of Falkirk's games. Please take a look and listen
Look forward to seeing you on Monday night
