BairnsTrust Monthly Newsletter... For Falkirk Bairns Everywhere!
If you are reading our newsletter for the first time ... welcome to BairnsTrust as a new member. If you wish to review some of our previous newsletters they can be visited at the following section of the website HERE
You are cordially invited to attend the Monthly Meeting in the Warm Up Area of the Falkirk Community Stadium on 18th July 2011, KO 7.30pm.  There will be a full agenda for discussion, but if you have any concerns you wish to raise, please respond to either BairnsTrust or post your query on the message board at our website and we will try to cover on the night.  If you are unable to attend, the Minutes from the meeting will appear on our website later for your perusal HERE.

FFC Board Restructure

Falkirk FC has announced radical changes to the day-to-day running of the football club.  New director Andy Thomson will chair a management committee made up of supporters with relevant skills and experience.  Volunteers are sought who can contribute to the future direction of the Club.  This will report to the main Board and will not affect the Trust’s current positions on the Board.

Similar to the Club, BairnsTrust are currently searching for new talent to come forward and help out.  We would like to hear from any supporters who have some spare time to give to aid the running of BairnsTrust, particularly for match day activities but any help is welcome including, but not limited to, accounting, administration, fundraising, and IT.  E-mail to indicate your interest.  Any offers of help or ideas will be gratefully received and given due consideration.

BairnsTrust raises £5000… with more to follow

BairnsTrust organised a cash collection at the recent home game against Partick Thistle.  This was set up at the request of fans and managed to raise an excellent amount of £761.77.  Fans should be reassured that this money will not be a simple donation.  In keeping with the aims of BairnsTrust, this money will be used to buy shares in Falkirk FC, providing vital funds for the running of the Club and increasing fans ownership and representation at the Club we all love.

In addition, BairnsTrust has already given £2000 as a donation to the Falkirk Academy in the last month.  There is still an outstanding sum of around £1000 from calendar sales which will also be donated to the Academy in the next month.
Surplus bank balance of around £1,500 will be used to buy shares in the next few weeks as we continue to support the Club and also keep the interests of fans at the forefront of discussions.

The BairnsTrust committee would like to thank all the members and volunteers who have contributed in any way this season.  Your support is appreciated and many of BairnsTrust’s activities simply couldn’t happen without your input.  THANK YOU!!

Look out early next month for a special end of season review and summary of everything we have been involved in this season.

Irn Bru Tops!

At the start of the season, league sponsors Irn Bru launched a campaign to see which team could collect the most Irn Bru bottle tops before May 7th.  Thanks to the great effort put in by Falkirk fans, we finished in second place behind Greenock Morton and have secured £7,000 for youth development.  For more details on the campaign visit the website
