BairnsTrust Monthly Newsletter... For Falkirk Bairns Everywhere!

If you are reading our newsletter for the first time ... welcome to BairnsTrust as a new member. If you wish to review some of our previous newsletters they can be visited at the following section of the website HERE
You are cordially invited to attend the Monthly Meeting in the Warm Up Area of the Falkirk Community Stadium on 18th July 2011, KO 7.30pm.  There will be a full agenda for discussion, but if you have any concerns you wish to raise, please respond to either BairnsTrust or post your query on the message board at our website and we will try to cover on the night.  If you are unable to attend, the Minutes from the meeting will appear on our website later for your perusal HERE.

New Season
The new season is almost upon us once again and BairnsTrust is planning for the season ahead.  As always there will be many highs and lows in the football season but the one constant is the Falkirk supporters.  It is important that we all come together for the benefit of Falkirk FC.  BairnsTrust are in the preliminary stages of organising some events and merchandise items as well as building on our communication links and ways in which we can represent fans.  This is YOUR chance to be heard. Don't be quiet; come along to meetings, visit the stalls, send an e-mail, just simply get involved and make the Falkirk experience a great one!

FFC Board Restructure

Falkirk FC has announced radical changes to the day-to-day running of the football club.  New director Andy Thomson will chair a management committee made up of supporters with relevant skills and experience.  Volunteers are now in place, including some members of the BairnsTrust committee, and the new structure are starting to put their ideas into practice.  More news on this will be communicated in due course. The new groups will report to the main Board and will not affect the Trust’s current positions on the Board.

Similar to the Club, BairnsTrust are currently searching for new talent to come forward and help out.  We would like to hear from any supporters who have some spare time to give to aid the running of BairnsTrust, particularly for match day activities but any help is welcome including, but not limited to, accounting, administration, fundraising, and IT.  E-mail BairnsTrust to indicate your interest.  Any offers of help or ideas will be gratefully received and given due consideration.

No family marquee yet

Discussions are ongoing with the sponsor of the family marquee from last season to have it in place for the upcoming season.  This may not be in place for the Preston game but we are hopeful that it will be up and running for the first home league game.  This was a big success last season and is an excellent area where families can come along and get together with fun and games and refreshments.

Membership & Merchandise

The BairnsTrust stalls will be open as usual at every home game this season including the Preston game this Saturday.  Come along and get involved or have a look at the merchandise and old programmes on sale.  A must for any Falkirk fan!

There are many items still for sale online. You can browse the existing BairnsTrust merchandise HERE.

Other News

Following feedback at a previous meeting, it was decided that the DRAFT minutes would be attached to the newsletter for perusal by members before being ratified at the next meeting.  This will allow members exclusive access to this document before being published on the website.  If you have any comments about this new procedure, please contact bairnstrust@hotmail.co.uk
