If you are reading our newsletter for the first time ... welcome to BairnsTrust as a new member. If you wish to review some of our previous newsletters they can be visited at the following section of the website HERE
You are cordially invited to attend the Monthly Meeting in the Warm Up Area of the Falkirk Community Stadium on 20th February 2012, KO 7.30pm.  There will be a full agenda for discussion, but if you have any concerns you wish to raise, please respond to either BairnsTrust or post your query on the message board at our website and we will try to cover on the night.  If you are unable to attend, the Minutes from the meeting will appear on our website later for your perusal HERE.

BairnsTrust would like to make all fans aware that the new Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012 will come into force on Thursday 1 March 2012

Supporters Direct have planned a series of meetings, each will start at 7pm and involve the Football Co-ordination Unit Scotland (FoCUS) personnel giving a short presentation on the Act followed by around 40 minutes of discussion time. The meetings will finish around 8pm.

Glasgow - Monday 27 February – venue to be confirmed
Dundee - Tuesday 28 February - Tannadice Park
Edinburgh-Wednesday 29 February – venue to be confirmed

A letter from the Minister for Community Safety and Legal Affairs on the Act which has been sent to Supporters Direct by the Scottish Government. I hope this is of interest to you, our members, and fellow supporters. Please feel free to distribute this more widely. You might want to particularly note the first paragraph on Page 2 which makes it clear the Scottish Government want to encourage a dialogue between people in advance of the Act being implemented.

Supporters Direct Scottish Council election. Voting closes at midnight on 27th February 2012 so make sure you let us know which candidate you prefer BairnsTrust to cast your vote for, before it closes.

The order of candidates was randomly determined.

Each eligible Trust may vote for two candidates. The two candidates polling the highest number of votes will be elected. The ballot closes on Monday 27 February at midnight. The results of the ballot will be declared on Friday 2 March.
